For an anti-inflammatory diet, having a quick and easy treat on hand is a real lifesaver. Especially if you're just getting started on your health recovery plan. 

I remember standing in my kitchen, trembling because I felt overwhelmed by the prospect of whipping up a dinner made with unfamiliar ingredients after working a really long day. That's when panic can set in and failure's close to follow. 

But NO, that's not going to happen to you.

Because you took 5 mins to toss some juice into your favorite popsicle molds (or an ice cube tray if that's all you've got on hand - see below for instructions).

Now you're one of the lucky ones because you have an icy, juicy, treat in your hand. You're mouth will be forever grateful! 

As you tantalize your taste buds with your tasty treat, you can then gain composure and are able to whip up a quick, easy, delicious, healthy dinner.

Phew! Crisis averted. Popsicles to the rescue.

Description

AWESOME 2 Ingredient simple to make popsicles! Made with just pure, refreshing orange juice, and water. Plus your favorite popsicle mold. Vegan, dairy free, YUM!


Ingredients

Units Scale

2 cups of orange juice, not from concentrate

1 cup of water or juice, if you’re on the SCD Diet then use the water otherwise use juice

1 Tbs honey, optional


Instructions

  1. Mix the juice, water if you are following an anti-inflammatory diet like SCD, and optional honey. If you’re not following the special diet then use more of the juice.
  2. Pour the juice mixture into the popsicle molds of your choice
  3. Freeze for 6 hours

Notes

If you don’t have popsicle molds, you can use an ice cube tray. Pour the mixture into an ice cube tray as if you were making ice cubes. Then cover the top of the tray with plastic wrap. Make sure the plastic wrap is tight across the top of the ice cube tray. Then pierce the center of each ice cube well with a wooden toothpick. The toothpick will stand erectly through the plastic wrap and serves as the popsicle holder once the popsicles are frozen. Remove them as you would an ice cube and enjoy.
