Regular Jello
1 cup cold orange juice, not from concentrate
1 cup of the juice or water
2 Tbs honey (optional)
1 envelope unflavored gelatin (I use Knox)
Bouncy Jello Cubes
1 cup orange juice, not from concentrate
3 cups of the juice, or water (if you are on the SCD diet, do 2 cups of water and 1 cup of juice)
4 envelopes of unflavored gelatin (I use Knox)
2 Tbs honey, optional
Instructions
Regular Jello
- Bring the juice to a boil, if you’re on the SCD diet then use water in place of juice
- Put the cold orange juice in a glass mixing bowl
- Sprinkle gelatin over the cold orange juice, whisk then let stand for one minute
- Add the hot juice to the bowl of juice and gelatin then stir until the gelatin completely dissolves
- Stir in honey (optional)
- Chill in the refrigerator until firm
Bouncy Jello Cubes
- Bring the juice to a boil, if you’re on the SCD diet then use water in place of juice
- Put the cold orange juice in a medium sized glass mixing bowl
- Sprinkle gelatin over the cold orange juice, whisk then let stand for one minute
- Add the hot juice to the bowl of juice and gelatin then stir until the gelatin completely dissolves, this may take longer then making regular jello
- Stir in honey (optional)
- Pour mixture into a 13 x 9 inch glass dish
- Refrigerate until firm, about 3 hours
- Remove from the fridge and cut into 1 inch squares
- Chill in the refrigerator until firm
Notes
If you’re on the SCD diet, then it’s important that the juice is diluted. That is why the recipe is 1/2 juice and 1/2 water. If you’re not on the SCD diet, then feel free to do 100% juice.
